Overview of Browser Cache

Each time you access a file through your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome), the browser caches or ‘stores’ it so it doesn't have to keep retrieving the same files or images from the remote web site each time you click Back or Forward. As a best practice, periodically clearing the cache allows your browser to function more efficiently.

Clearing your Browser Cache and Cookies

Many elements that you see after initially logging in to Opus 2 are stored within your browser cache and cookies. When Opus 2 releases a change of some kind to your server, you may be advised to clear your cache and/or cookies. This forces Opus 2 to download all materials again which will refresh the workspace entirely and allow you to see new content, features etc.
