Summary
Once files have been sent securely on Opus 2 Transfer ('Transfer'), they can be downloaded for use offline. We've set out guidance on how to download file from Transfer below.
If Opus are sending documents securely, they will be sent via Transfer for download (where possible and practical).
To use Transfer you will first need to request and register an account, more information on how to do so can be found here.
Downloading Documents
- Viewing Available Files - Once logged in, users should see any files available to download as an entry in the channel.
- Expired Files - If the expiry time of the files has passed (date & time viewable on the entry) the files cannot be downloaded and the download icon will be greyed out alongside the filename(s) appearing in italics.
- Running the Download - Users are able to download either all files in the transfer or individual files:
- All Files - Either hover over the relevant entry row and press the download icon that appears to the right of the entry, or click the filename in the entry itself.
- Individual Files - Hover over the relevant entry row and press the downward arrow that appears to the right of the entry. Once the row is expanded, either press the downward arrow to the right of the individual file and select Download, or click the ffilename.
- All Files - Either hover over the relevant entry row and press the download icon that appears to the right of the entry, or click the filename in the entry itself.
- Progress - Once selected, the download should automatically begin and appear as a zip file in the relevant folder housing the downloads on your computer once complete (the larger the file, the longer the download will take). The contents will need to be extracted from the zip to use the files.
- Browser Pop Ups - If the download doesn't begin, please check that your internet browser does not block pop-ups. How to check this will depend on your internet browser so your IT Team would be best placed in the first instance to assist with any pop-up related queries.
