Summary
Whilst the previous parts of the Upload Guide have covered the main preparation steps, there are some more ad-hoc points that are should be considered in case they are relevant to your document set.
We've set out the further points for consideration below.
Further Points for Consideration
- Document Stamping - Whilst documents should not contain pagination stamping (as this will be applied by default), if the parties did wish to include a Document / Disclosure / Exhibit ID stamping on the document, please ensure it is not applied in the bottom right to avoid clashing with the Opus applied pagination.
- Opus are also able to apply additional stamps upon request provided the metadata required is applied as metadata.
- Redactions - Any redactions applied to the documents by the party should be burned in to the PDF before providing it to Opus, ensuring the the OCR data is also removed from the redaction.
- Duplicate Documents - We would advise avoiding uploading duplicate documents where possible to prevent issues with annotations across different versions, hyperlinking and referencing at the hearing. If you know your bundle contains duplicates, please contact the Solution Operations team who will be happy to offer further guidance.
- Family Relationships - If you have family documents, they can be grouped on the platform with a metadata relationship in order to show a visual indicator in the Doc. Names to highlight the family grouping.
More information on how to prepare the load file for showing the family relationship can be found here.
