Summary
When uploading the hearing bundle to the platform, some preparatory work will need to be undertaken by the parties.
To ensure both the preparation and upload process is as simple and efficient as possible, we've collated the formatting requirements and best practice information into our Upload Guide. In doing so, we've set out we've set out how to prepare the documents and Excel load file, alongside guidance on instructions and further considerations in a five-part guide with two appendices.
We've set out links to each part of the guide:
- Part 1: Upload Overview
- Part 2: Document Preparation
- Part 3: Load File Preparation
- Part 4: Further Considerations

Overview
For Opus to upload the electronic bundle to our platform, the parties would need to agree on the contents and then securely provide the documents alongside an Excel load file.
The load file is effectively an index, detailing the metadata information to be applied to each document. It must be provided in Excel format and it needs to contain the unique Filename value of each document.
Once uploaded, the documents will appear in a bundled folder structure with a pagination stamp being applied to the bottom right of each page in the format of the Bundle/Tab/Page metadata from the Excel load file. The pagination will act as a simple, unique reference that can be used for referencing at the hearing and hyperlinking cross-references.
It is important the documents and load file are prepared and provided in line with our formatting requirements and best practice advice. This will ensure the upload process is efficient and accurate, therefore avoiding unnecessary delays and additional costs.
