Summary

Show Links is a tool on the Documents page and when viewing a document, which allows the review of hyperlinks that are either incoming to a document or outgoing from the document. A side-by-side page view of where the hyperlink was created alongside the destination of the link, allowing for both ends of the link to be reviewed in context.

For example, it allows for a contextual review of a hyperlinked witness statement with the relevant evidence, or a transcript with the documents shown on screen.

We've set out how to use the Show Links tool below.

More information on how to create hyperlinks can be found here

Using Show Links

  1. Access Show Links - The show links tool can be accessed in one of two ways:
    1. Links Table - Within the Documents page, on a hyperlinked document press the Links icon to open the Links Table. From the Links Table, press Show to open the link in the Show Links tool.
    2. Document View - When viewing a document, in the purple toolbar press Tools and select Show Links from the dropdown menu.
  2. Review the Links - Press the Links: dropdown to see all instances (detailing the Doc. Name values) of either the incoming or outgoing links. Select a link instance to update the page previews and press the navigation arrows to move through the pages as needed:
    1. Outgoing Links (Left) - Any hyperlinks made in the selected document, linking to other documents in the bundle.
    2. Incoming Links (Right) - Any hyperlinks made in other documents in the bundle, linking to the selected document.
  3. Export Results - Press Export to produce an Excel report detailing where the hyperlinks are made within the document and where they link to.
